I was asked, following a presentation at the WONDERFUL Foundry Faith Academy PTO meeting yesterday, "Which label maker do you use?"
Here's the answer:
I have 2 label makers. I like the smaller one for home, and I've only used the larger when I have projects that warrent them - when I worked in an office warehouse, this nursery project, or things in my own garage (only because I owned it, though).
My small one came from Walmart - it's the Dymo version: http://www.walmart.com/ip/DYMO-Letratag-LT-100T-Personal-Label-Maker/10554587
I am very pleased with it... easy to type on, easy to format, double lines, etc. Tape for these is cheap... and there is no ink because the letters are "burned" (for lack of better word) onto the label.. therefore no smearing either!
My large one came from Staples, and all it's tape has to come from Staples online... the tape is more expensive (but wider... up to 1") but for big projects, it's worth it. I have the Dymo LabelManager 450D. I can plug it into my computer and it makes all kinds of images... bar codes, etc. Lots of stuff I'll never use, but I go this one because it does the 1" size at the cheapest rate.
Do you have a question? Ask away, I'll be happy to answer it!

Crazy Christmas to All and to All a Good Night
Forget saying, "Merry Christmas" - I'm going to start saying "Crazy Christmas". Can you imagine: "Crazy Christmas to All and to All a good night!"?
I'm organized (obviously) and it was still crazy. Glad it's 1/9, my kids are in school, and I can get back to doing what I like - organizing!
It's Container Store's favorite month, too. Elfa Sale!! [On a total side note, I was hanging last week in the aisles of The Container Store checking out some new products and getting a new DVD holder - thanks Santa for the new movies! - when The Container Store employee told me I had very organized tendencies and that I should consider working there. :-) ]
I'm using this blog today not to share any exciting organizing trends or projects, but to tie up some loose ends from 2011 and bring Simple Spaces right into 2012!
1) The website www.simplespacestexas.com is no more. You can find all the info you want (soon) here!
2) The Facebook tips of the day are (almost) all ready - they are only on weekdays and most are accompanied by a photo - many times from my very own home. If you have tips, I would love to see them and I will be sure to add them. I spent much of my 3,245 mile Christmas ride working on the tips and getting them organized into a fashion that works for each month:
3) I really really want to use this blog as I had hoped to originally. If you have a question, and need some help, let me know (snap a few photos) and I will anonymously give you my opinions, offer suggestions, and hopefully help you out!
Until then - Merry January to you!
